Have you tried everything but still no luck with getting ahead
in your business? Try stepping out of your comfort zone to witness the true
essence of success.
There are so many times when you feel overworked and tired of
running behind success but nothing seems to work. It’s just like that
everything that you have done just doesn’t seem enough and work keeps demanding
more. The goal that you have always dreamt about seems out of your reach only
because you see a lot of hurdles along the way but you don’t want to let it go.
Deep inside you know you can do it. Peak performance and discomfort go hand in
hand- stepping out of your comfort zone makes you better, even if it is a
simple task of emailing someone you don’t like. The uncomfortable things you
start doing slowly seem easier and comfortable. It’s the everyday challenges
that push your boundaries the most and can open new gates to success. Try
getting a little uncomfortable if you have literally tried everything and maybe
these things might help you to reach your goals. Here are some of the
uncomfortable things that can make you more successful if taken up:
Getting up
early
As difficult as it sounds, waking up
early is one of the key elements to lead a productive day and get more tasks
accomplished with more time and a fresh mind. It also gives you the opportunity
to start your day with a good breakfast and some meditation to give you a
kick-start.
Public
speaking
Talk about getting uncomfortable with
butterflies in your stomach. Whether its sales presentations or giving speeches
to motivate your employees or pitching ideas to investors, you have to learn to
speak publicly if you wish to succeed as an entrepreneur.
Taking blame and
responsibility
It’s not easy to accept your mistakes and take responsibility
for something that goes wrong in your business venture. You really have to get
out of your comfort zone and take things in your hands to be a successful
entrepreneur.
Networking
and breaking the ice
Running a business will require you to
build a network of professional people and try to initiate a conversation with
somebody you don’t know. All these are essential tools to enhance connections
and take your business to places.
Asking for
advise
Getting valuable advice regarding
certain aspects of your business will help you to make better decisions. The
hard part is picking up the phone or emailing someone to ask for an opinion,
but majority of the people will be honored to receive such requests. So take a
step back and don’t hesitate to get a second opinion.
Apologizing
for a mistake
Mistakes are bound to happen- whether it is a deadline you did not meet or you snapped at an employee for something, you have to learn how to apologize for your blunders. A sincere and a humble apology is not going to knock you over, in fact it will let others to respect you even more.
